Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes

  • 200g fresh mozzarella

  • 1 handful of fresh basil leaves

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  • Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into even rounds. Pick fresh basil leaves from the stems.
  • On a large serving platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella. Tuck basil leaves between the slices, arranging them attractively.
  • Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the assembled salad. Season with salt and black pepper to taste

Notes

  • Optional: drizzle 1 tbsp balsamic glaze on top!
